The Art of Holiday Cards
Don’t underestimate the power of a holiday card, note or gift. People (especially clients and the professionals who work for and with you) love to know that you value them. The trick here is to make your card, note or gift stand out at a time when the recipient may receive many.
DON’T send a generic “happy holidays!” message with your name scribbled inside (or typed on the screen).
DO send a personalized message tailored to each person with holiday wishes and expressing your appreciation for him or her.
You don’t need to spend a fortune to do this. But blocking off 20 minutes each morning to do a round of personalized greetings will go a long way in making you stand out above the rest.
